When Canada’s best-selling car gets redesigned, it’s quite an event. Honda celebrated the occasion this week with great fanfare by unveiling the prototype of the new 2022 Honda Civic on the Twitch platform.
Although this is a prototype, this Honda Civic unveiled yesterday is very close to reality. It offers a new chassis and an all-new design in addition to offering new cutting-edge technologies in safety and connectivity.
Equipped with a new, distinct orange color, the new Honda Civic has completely changed its style. Boxier, sportier and more distinctive, the 11th generation Civic is both elegant and visually aggressive. It will be immediately easy to distinguish in traffic thanks to LED lights and its four-door coupe look.
Inside, the new Honda Civic 2022 features an all-new instrument panel that includes a fully digital instrument cluster. It also comes with a new 9-inch touchscreen. The style of the dashboard is pure and clean, but very futuristic.
The 2022 Honda Civic will also be entitled to advanced safety technologies including new Honda Sensing active safety technologies. Honda hasn't given a lot of details at this point, but promises a much safer Civic.
The Honda Civic is the best-selling car in Canada and it will return as the standard sedan as well as offer Si and Type R trims when it hits the market next year.
