The Honda product line could not be more varied. Sedans, sports cars, hybrids, SUVs, a pickup truck, a minivan… In short, there is something for everyone including someone who needs to tow. Here’s an overview of the towing capabilities of the various Honda models.

However, before getting into the individual Honda vehicles that can tow, let’s take a quick look at those that cannot tow. We're talking about the Civic, Accord, Clarity and Insight sedans, as well as the HR-V SUV. If you have to tow with an Accord or an HR-V, experts recommend that the towed weight not exceed 1,000 pounds, including the trailer.
Fortunately, several vehicles offer more than impressive towing capability.
Honda CR-V
In the case of the compact CR-V SUV, no matter which version you are interested in, you are allowed to tow loads of 1,500 pounds, which is enough for odd jobs, to tow a snowmobile, to fetch firewood, etc. And that also holds for the base LX front-wheel drive version.
Honda Odyssey
With the Odyssey minivan, powered by a 3.5-liter V6, the capacity increases to 3,500 pounds (1,588 kg), which becomes very interesting for hauling small tent trailers, a snowmobile, a small boat, etc.
Passport and Pilot
The Passport and Pilot SUVs are practically first cousins and basically benefit from the same spec sheet. They both get a 3.5-litre V6 with 280 horsepower and can tow 5,000 pounds, or 2,268 kg.
Ridgeline
Finally, in the case of the Ridgeline, the capacity is also set at 5,000 pounds. This incredibly comfortable truck is served by the same powertrains as the last three vehicles and tows with confidence.
