Honda Standard Warranty Coverage For New Vehicles
Because your new Honda is an important investment, we designed the Honda No Nonsense Warranty to give you peace of mind with your new vehicle. In fact, the protection Honda’s warranty provides is there to help you get the most out of the investment you have made in your Honda vehicle.
In addition to the Honda Five Year/100,000 Km Power Train No Nonsense Warranty, you and your new Honda are also protected by an additional series of warranties for such items as emission controls, body corrosion and more.
The warranty information you'll find in this section covers all new and previously unregistered Honda automobiles manufactured by Honda Motor Company Ltd., sold by authorized Honda automobile dealers within Canada, and normally operated within Canada.

Surface Corrosion Warranty
This warranty guarantees that the surface of new Honda’s body will be free from any readily visible corrosion for a period of 3 years, no distance limit from the date of first registration. Additionally, this warranty guarantees that a new Honda will be free from any paint related defects for three years or 60,000 Km.
Rust Protection Warranty
This warranty is your guarantee that new Honda vehicle’s body will be free from perforation due to corrosion from the inner surface through to the outer surface of the body for a period of five years from the date of first registration.
Hybrid System Warranty
Your Hybrid System Warranty guarantees that under normal use, the following components; Motor Stator, Motor Rotor, DC-DC Converter, Motor Control Module, Battery Assembly, Motor Power Inverter Module, Battery Condition Monitor Module and Voltage Converter Module will continue to be free from defects in material and workmanship
Emissions Systems Warranty
Any defects in material and workmanship in the emis¬sion control systems which cause non-compliance with those standards will be repaired or replaced with new Honda parts or Honda-approved parts at no cost to you. This will be done immediately upon acknowledge¬ment by Honda that such defects are attributable to faulty material or workmanship at the time of original manufacture.
Distributor's Warranty
This warranty is a guarantee that under normal use and maintenance, the part of the new Honda (including all power train) deemed defective in material or in workmanship under normal use for a period of 36 months (from the warranty registration date) or 60,000 km, whichever comes first is covered.
Power Train Warranty
This warranty (measured from the warranty registration date) takes over upon expiry of the Distributor’s Warranty. It is free to the original owner, and transferrable to subsequent owners upon registration with Honda. The details of the Power Train Warranty coverage may be found in your Honda Warranty Manual.
Audio & Navigation Components Warranty
This warranty guarantees that each original equipment or genuine Honda accessory radio, compact disc player, DVD-A player, compact disc changer and navigation system will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years/60,000 Km from date of first registration.
Battery Warranty
This warranty is a guarantee that the original battery installed in a new Honda will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of up to three years, prorated. No distance limit, from date of first registration.
* All Honda Genuine Accessories are covered for 3 years or 60,000km when installed at time of new-vehicle purchase. Accessories acquired and installed by a Honda Dealer after the initial purchase of the vehicle itself are covered for 1 year or 20,000km. Accessories acquired and installed by a non Honda Dealer after the initial purchase of the vehicle itself are covered for defect in material for 1 year or 20,000km.
** Includes: Three way catalytic converted engine control module (ECM), on board diagnostic connector and engine check light.
*** Vehicles from 2005 onwards come with 3 years Roadside Assistance.
****100% -2 years with no distance limit. 50% - 3rd year with no distance limit excluding labour.
Note:The owner of the vehicle is responsible to report to an authorized Honda dealer in Canada, any items which they feel are defective, and request warranty coverage, if applicable, within the terms of the warranty.
